Arcot Skeleton Trees

Arcot Skeleton Trees

Arcot Pond, Cramlington.
Almost got a welly full of smelly pond water getting this photo. I do love these dead trees that can be found at the west side of the water.
The lake was created by a collapsed mine. Over the years the subsequent dip in the ground surface filled with rain water. It's now a great place to spot wildlife, including deer and various birds.
